One of My Favorite Things

January 21st, 2008 by Lia Sebastian

One of my favorite things about being a writer is getting a cover and a release date. I’m excited to announce I have both for my vampire story, Battle. It will be available as an e-book July 4. Here’s the cover, which I love.

Battle Cover

This is the only case where the cover came before the story. In fact, the cover inspired part of the story. You’ll have to read it to find out how. :)

Here’s the blurb.

When hotel owner Mélanie Laurent receives a black rose from a would-be suitor, she can’t afford to ignore it. Her adversary doesn’t just want her–he wants L’Hôtel Roseraie and the rest of her holdings. To reach his goals, he’s willing to do anything, even involve humans in what should be vampire business. To win, Mélanie must defeat her rival at his own game.

Justin Garvey knows Mélanie isn’t what she seems. That belief is confirmed when he learns she is a vampire. When his assistant is murdered by Mélanie’s adversary, Justin vows to get revenge–a vow that brings him further into the vampire world. Justin and Mélanie discover that they make great partners . . . but to succeed, they must risk everything.

It’s part of Cobblestone Press’s Vampire Oracle series, which will eventually be available in print.

Cover

January 26th, 2007 by Lia Sebastian

One of my favorite things about the publishing process is getting a cover. Today I received the cover for The Seventh Sense. I have to admit I wasn’t sure what I would think of it. I’m very fond of the photo covers (see Office Relations at left), and this one is a very different style.

Once I saw it, though, I loved it. I think it really captures Erin’s striking (but not conventionally beautiful) looks. And I like the way the ring is incorporated as well.

I’ll let you know when I get an official release date.

Between Floors

April 28th, 2006 by Lia Sebastian

I got my cover for Between Floors, and I’m very pleased with it.

Here’s a teaser to start with:

When Chloe Wilson enters the elevator in her apartment building, she doesn’t expect to see ex-lover Sean Harris, the man who left her six months before. Sean’s return is no coincidence. He wants Chloe back, and he’ll do whatever it takes to convince her to let him back in her life.

I’ll post once I find out the release date.

Office Relations Cover

I got the cover today for Office Relations, and it’s got me stunned almost speechless.

I had a great deal of faith in the Cobblestone Press‘ art department, but this is still so much better than I’d imagined, and definitely better than the idea I suggested. I love, love, love it.
