Four Days to Battle

June 30th, 2008 by Lia Sebastian

In honor of Battle, my upcoming release with Cobblestone Press, it’s all vampires all week long!

Bat

My love affair with vampires began when I read Bram Stoker’s Dracula. It was an assignment for a college class, but once I started reading, it swept me up completely and didn’t let go.

Dracula

It’s a beautifully written novel, very atmospheric and creepy. And Dracula is a horrifying villain. If you haven’t read the story, I definitely recommend it.

Do you have a favorite classic vampire tale?

This article made me more excited (if that’s possible) to see the movie.

Heath Ledger delivers brilliantly as the Joker

Ah, Heath.

Summer Snow

June 25th, 2008 by Lia Sebastian

It’s summertime, and it hasn’t really snowed where I live. But something nearly as unexpected occurred—my office is trying out flex scheduling for three months with three options, one a four 10-hour day work week. I’m not sure I’ll like it, but I’m excited to try it so I can have three-day weekends. If nothing else, I’ll save on petrol. Gas prices are ridiculous, and I welcome any chance to minimize that expense.

This starts sometime next month—date to be determined. This is even better than a summer blizzard. :)
